SINGAPORE (AP) -- The Great Wall of China is visible from space, the last man to walk on the moon told a Singapore newspaper, contradicting China's first spaceman, who said he couldn't spot the giant fortification.

Of course the Chinese astronaut didn't see the Great Wall from space and neither did our astronauts. How could they from a sound stage in the middle of the Mojave Desert?
 
Huh? I heard that was a myth. Seeing the great wall of china (25 ft wide?) from the moon would be like seeing a popsicle stick from 200 miles away.

Edit: OK, he only claimed to see it from 100-200 miles up, but I still would never believe you could see it from space... there are plenty of structures that are far bigger.
