China’s main weapon, he says, is deception — the constant appearance of achieving less than they really have and needing our help more than they actually do.

Their ghost cities prove quite the contrary.

1980 called, they want their revelations of secret Chinese plans regarding relations with the West back.

Seriously, everyone who outscored a moldy potato on an IQ test got the memo on this at least 30 years ago.

It was Japan taking over the US 30 years ago. Robocop 3 is an interesting documentary on the subject.

If their plan takes a hundred years, we have way more to worry about in the meantime. Let's get back to this in 75 years.

China has thrown away their ancient philosophies and simpler ways of living. Now, they want to live like the Western man.

Be careful what you wish for, China (and rest of the world). When you live like the Western man, your respect of the natural goes out the window. We can see this happening in China and elsewhere.

China is just exploiting Americans and their corporations greed, and Americans have no one to blame but themselves,

They love you long time on the cheap so you don't have to go to your high priced regulation loving union wife because you have been brainwashed to believe profit only matters and cheap prices are everything,

This is what happens when all you care about is profit at the expense of everything else, and it's most ironic that Ross Perot, a billionaire, warned us what will happen when all you care about is making money.

Greed, no matter how much of a motivator the present corporate business world likes to promote it as by calling it good, is actually a weakness, an Achilles heel that can be used effectively to control one and the Chinese know this,

that is why when the American government has a disagreement with China and tries to threaten it somehow the Chinese immediately threaten greed addicted American corporations who then tell the US government to back off.

So the Chinese government is perpetrating some mystical, alien-to-the-west international political kung-fu that us poor ignorant westerners are just being suckered right into?

Yeah. Sure. Whatever. Is their country still corrupt at all levels as a matter of course? Have they created one new thing that wasn't stolen from western countries? Do their ruling class still come to the West for medical treatment and send their kids here for education?

I'm sure China has grand ambitions. They always have, they always will. In other news, Islam has a 1000 year plan to convert the entire world. *Yawn*

Happening? It's already happened. Just look at environmental regulations, the west appreciates nature far more than China at this point.

We only appreciate things when they are convenient for us or for our pleasure or some other gain. The West has some more rules and regulations in place that guard certain lands and species. But our economic interests still come out ahead in the balance between our prosperity and respecting this planet. I think the Chinese and many others are on a rapid race to catch up the West. Unfortunately, the Earth has to be exploited for its resources so all these countries can carry on their imitation of the West. Or their betterment or success. Whatever the terms they want to use.
