<< if i'm not mistaken, countries are permitted to share technology with >>

It is common for countries to share(this is the keyword here, share) technology that would be benevolent to both countries. However, it is not common for a future president to request funds for his campaign in return to technology which was not developed by HIM, but by the taxes paid by the people. Believe it or not, I do not want any of the technology funded by the taxes I pay to go to China to support a presidency candidate whose opinions are not generally the same as mine.

so if their opinion is the same as yours, then you'd have no problem with it then? so the issue here really isn't national security, it's just trying to make somebody you don't like look bad.

<< Red Dawn, it seems to me that you're nothing but a troll >>

Hey guys, as much as I dislike Texmaster and Republicans it wasn't I who was posting these last few messages. I just busted my punk ass Nephew on my computer while I was at the gym and obviously he's been posting some crap.

I apologize to anybody he may have insulted.

Red Dawn, is he 13 by any chance? 🙂

And gopunk, please don't try to change the meaning of my words 😛 You know what I meant, and if my sentences could be interpreted in another way, then I'm sorry, I guess I wasn't clear enough.

Ah forget it. It was entertaining to say the least 😀

It does make me wonder though how many times I was talking to him in the past instead of you.

To me this isn't that big of a deal.

Let me explain. I think all countries try to influence the US elections -- not just China. For example, I wouldn't be surprised to find out that Israel, England and other countries have "contributed" funds to past elections to try to gain favor.

This is just like spying. Everybody does it. I thought it was stupid of China to get all indignant about US spying (especially considering how much China spies on us) and I think it's stupid for us to get all upset about other countries trying to influence our elections through campaign contributions.

We should be aware of it and try not to let them influence us but let's face it -- all politicians are basically "bought" and "influenced" by who helped them get elected.
