It's the only report I could find on the story, and it's on AVNonline.com. Someone should post an alternative site if they can find one that talks about the October 1 deadline.

There'll still be plenty of porn on the eastern side of the Taiwan Straights if you've got a boat or want to swim for it. 😉
 
IIRC China has been trying to censor Internet material for awhile. This isn't really that surprising.
 
It's not hard getting around the "great firewall" if you know what you're doing, they can't read encrypted packets. But I wonder if they might get suspicious.
 
some of those officials are still stuck in the last century. when i was in china, i read from some newspapers that apparently cop shows (tame compared to tv here) are too "violent" for prime time tv and must be shown after 10 or something shlt like that
 
This will mark the beginning of the end of the Chinese government. 1.3 billion people + 120/100 male/female ratio + no porn = revolution.

does anyone know how many major telecommunications pipes go into china?...assuming the gov't controls them all, maybe this is actually possible...i doubt it'll happen tho, and even if it does, it won't last long...hehe
 
I hope they're giving out free birth control. With no porn around, dudes are gonna actually try to boink their wives... and with the 1 child policy...
 
The problem in China is that most young kids have access to internet porn and there is no system in place keeping kids from porn. Eliminating internet porn might be the only feasible solution.
