and nascar doesn't allow fuel injected engines, so what?

there are various things that will make your stewed meat and spice dish into something other than chili, and kidney beans aren't one of them. if you're making green chili you can use a different kind of bean. black bean is also probably ok in red chili. lima beans make bean and beef stew.

Actually NASCAR will have FI soon:

Well then that's not real NASCAR because that isn't how it was when NASCAR started.

NASCAR isn't real NASCAR anyways... because none of the cars are STOCK.

i can't go down to my local FORD dealership and order an exact replica of the car Jimmie Johnson drove with.

1. Traditional Red Chili is defined by the International Chili Society as any kind of meat or combination of meats, cooked with red chili peppers, various spices and other ingredients, with the exception of BEANS and PASTA which are strictly forbidden.

So "Traditional Red" can't have beans or pasta (though corn on the cob, lobster, ice cream, pumpkin, and apple pie don't seem to be excluded) but the "Peoples Choice"
chili is required to have beans or pasta? So they still call chili with beans chili, in fact it is the one they people actually eat, but they define the traditional method as being without beans. That actually sounds reasonable, original chili recipes did not have beans but it is now a standard form.

QFT!

anybody who puts bell peppers, pasta, Cinnamon, corn or beans in a chili is a fucking retard.

Since bell peppers are peppers of the capsicum family they are ok to include into chili along with chili peppers.

btw just to let everyone know I maced myself something fierce yesterday with the jalapenos I cut. i just started wearing glasses and im not used to them on my face, i rubbed jalapeno juice on my eye brows while taking them off to cut onions and ended up getting jalapeno juice directly in the eyes. lol that shit burnt so f'n bad.

you can't be a chili snob when your chili comes out of a box.

the only corn that should be anywhere near chili is in the chips or tortillas served on the side.

I have never once made chili with a pre-packaged set of ingredients. That is just silly. It isn't like it's that hard to make your own chili flavoring or anything.

My ingredients were Jalapeno, Habanero(left it out this time), Bell peppers, beef chuck cut into small cubes, ground beef, onion and garlic. The chili peppers I dice up fine along with the garlic. Onion is just diced. I do the onion, garlic and chili peppers with the ground beef in w/ 1 tbspn of butter while browning. Brown the beef cubes separate from the ground beef. I only use a little bit of my chili powder mix with the ground beef. In the Crock-pot I poured 3 Stella Artois bottles, normally I would have done like 1 32oz High Life, with a can of beef broth, 1 beef bullion cube, not exactly sure how much mole probably half a cup or so. After the beef is browned I mix it in to the crock-pot with the chili spices mix I made. Add flour to thicken and let it sit on high for like 4 hrs, move to low/warm, for another hour or so then into the fridge over night.

I can't be exact with my measurements because I'm never exact. I always create my mix to taste and flour/masa I add as it goes because you want the liquid to evaporate out somewhat as it thickens so adding to much flour/masa early can mess that up.

oh I also use a hotsauce I like a lot, but it's lousiana style hot sauce, shouldn't probably be used in a texas style chili lol 😛

Real Chili is made with beans

If it doesn't have beans...

easy%20meat%20sauce.JPG

It's a meat sauce and goes on spaghetti.

You are so fucking wrong it isn't even funny. BEANS WERE USED AS A MEAT SUBSTITUTE IN CHILI RECIPES BECAUSE POOR PEOPLE NOT FROM SAN ANTONIO COULD NOT AFFORD THE AMOUNT OF BEEF REQUIRED. If you cook chili with beans in it you are NOT making chili. Also no one worth their salt makes chili that looks anything like that meat sauce. You guys are so ignorant of chili it is sad.
