 $ 6 , 036 !

Nice work SP33Demon !

Looks like it's my turn again to spend some money too: :)

Sixth Matching: - Nintendo DS Lite Polar white & Super Princess Peach - $154.98 - UNM Childrens Hospital, Albuquerque, NM
Made possible by donations from: SuperNaruto (x3), alexeikgb, Beller0ph1, DaveSimmons, HeroOfPellinor, joelmold, Kaervak, minendo, Mwilding (x2), rgwalt, snoopdoug1, SP33Demon

The super-mega-matching may be over (unless someone buys an xbox360 before Thanksgiving, see Evadman's offer a page back), but I'll still keep matching $10 to each $25+ donation for as long as I can, I can get at least one more DS Lite if 13 more people donate before Xmas.

Thanks to everyone making donations, but a personal thanks to those donating to Childrens Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, MO. A friend of mine went there for treatments for his Cystic Fibrosis treatments. He was an avid gamer, and would have been very grateful if the hospital had been receiving donations like these. I sent care packages when I could, but I was not as well off then as I am now.

I have been going over the site, and I am planning to make a donation there in his memory. :)

All this math is confusing but it's amazing to see what you guys are doing. I volunteer in teh Children's playroom at Seattle Children's and the kids really appreciate the videogames

Unfortunately no one was able to come up with a 360, so I ordered Barnyard, Open Season & Pac Man World Rally gamecube games ($89.97) for the Women and Childrens Hospital in Buffalo so they will get there in time for christmas.

Thank you everyone who gave a little or a lot. For those of you still thinking about it, pick up a inexpensive book or something. A $10 book goes a long way to make a kid happy.

Exaclty! If you don't want to spend $25 to get the Amazon free shipping and my $10 matching, you can still either pay for shipping ( :( ) or make a PayPal donation at the Child's Play website.

PayPal money will be divided across all the hospitals, so even though your $5 might not buy much by itself, put it together with other people and a hospital can get another Mario game or a toy for the kids.

This thread needs more love...

Come on guys and gals, please consider adding an extra gift or two onto your list this year. A few bucks will go a long way, any gift you buy will by enjoyed by many kids and improve their quality of life when they're stuck in hospital.

Thanks again to everyone who donated

Best thread ever. Great job folks

I was thinking about donating a DS game to one of the hospitals, but if they don't have any DS's how will they play them? I don't want to buy something they can't use. I assume they have DS' already? I was looking to donate to the New Orleans hospital.

They have DS games on their wishlist and DS units. I imagine they already have some of each, so feel free to order a game for them. If you're still worried, there are lots of other items you could choose from :)
