I have to say: Who came up with the wishlists? The items look good, but why are so many of them third party sellers (and some, gasp, don't even work with Prime)? I saw one hospital and at top of wish list was a $307 160 GB PS3. A 250 GB PS3 can be had for less, direct from Amazon, with games. I saw another hospital that wanted a 32" TV, but it was $400, which frankly buys two 32" now of a lesser brand (and two of that are better than one expensive 1080P TV).

The Child's Play staff worked with the hospitals, but the problem is they set up the lists at the start of November. Back then everything was still available from Amazon itself but now many items are out of stock so Amazon switches to other sellers.

The Child's Play folks start off with all-Amazon items, but when Amazon sells out it switches to offering other sellers.

What I'd like to see the CP staff do next year is keep an eye on this, and switch to other items (like the Black Friday and Xmas bundles) during the sale so we're always buying the best deal, from Amazon. That might be more work than they could handle but it would make your $ go further.

Needs a floating companion thread. Some people tend to miss stickied threads, kind of a natural tendency to block them out mentally after a while. I noticed that a few years ago with the ATOT secret Santa thread, but the gift thread seems to increase awareness.

Plus a lot of the gamers are more active in their respective forums, wouldn't hurt to have links there take them to this thread. Just a suggestion if the mods would be okay with it.
Best thing would be official AT main site support, would be incredible if Anand and company gave a hospital reviewed consoles or something, posted up an article with support for this charity. Of course, it's easy for me suggest someone else to do something like that, but it really would bring a lot more attention and support.
