Children's software

Our daughter is 4 and is quickly becoming engrossed by her computer. I am wondering what any of you have found to be fun and educational children's software.

Thanks for your help!🙂

It's been ten years since my kids were that age, but they enjoyed the Putt Putt series (PuttPutt Goes To The Moon). Also, the Magic School Bus series is pretty cool.

Here's a pretty good list:

Orgon's Trail... you learn about history, geography, and even get to shoot deers for food. I use to love the game on the Apple IIe in 3rd grade. Of course now it's 3d and all high tech, I bet it's still fun though.

Would Delta Force Black Hawk Down be considered educational? I mean, that is based on a real event, umm or at least named after one anywho 🙂

My kids really get into both Harry Potter games, so much that I can leverage game play-time with making sure they do their chores/homework/etc. I guess the only downside is they are actually pretty grapic intensive games and will require a decent computer/graphic card for them to play smoothly.

LOL, those games suck, when I was that age I played wolfenstein, doom, and warcraft.
you were playing wolfenstein and doom at age 4, eh? very nice....

...however, I doubt they would be considered "children's" software, and I also doubt they'd be considered educational, which is what the OP seems to be looking for...
