Children shouldn't read books!

This sounds more like an argument that poor eyesight is hereditary. How they twisted that to mean your kids shouldn't read is beyond me.

I'm sure there are more than a handful (haha) of AT members who are going to go blind for activities other than reading. :D

Well, I read more than two books a week from the time I was 4. I had the worst myopia ever BUT just had it fixed last week! Reading and enhancing knowledge vs wearing glasses...with the potential of having it fixed....
