This sounds more like an argument that poor eyesight is hereditary. How they twisted that to mean your kids shouldn't read is beyond me.
I'm sure there are more than a handful (haha) of AT members who are going to go blind for activities other than reading.
Well, I read more than two books a week from the time I was 4. I had the worst myopia ever BUT just had it fixed last week! Reading and enhancing knowledge vs wearing glasses...with the potential of having it fixed....
