I had the robot, ROB, I believe the name was. I also had the light gun, in grey, not orange/red when they recolored the gun. I remember the powerglove, never got to use it though. its a shame, i really wanted to test it out. My friend has the power mat, that was cool.

now who remembers the max controller and the advantage, with turbo!!!!

Yeah, my brother had an Advantage, I was so jealous.

I actually donated a couple years worth of magazines to the local library...they were just sitting in a box taking up space. They were mid to late 90s, so they weren't too old...I still had a good trip down memory lane when I saw the characters that each year had printed on the magazine ends.

I had it for about about 3 years.

I remember the great screenshot maps they had of the Zelda 2 dungeons, the Final Fantasy Preview, the first time i read that, I knew I MUST HAVE THAT GAME. Same for Dragon Warrior.

The first issue I got had Super Mario 2 on the cover.

I remember it. Now, how many of us had the robot that came with the NES?

How many of us had the glove you could buy that reacted to finger movements and hand gestures. Or the foldout screen that uses sensors at the corners to catch hand movements.

ohhh, I'm getting old, looks like the glove was for the N64 system, not Super Nintendo. The years start to meld together when you get in your mid-30s 🙂

Reality Quest Glove

They had a glove for the NES. Not sure what exactly it did.

as i recall, it aggravated the bejesus out of the user. i know i had a hell of a time getting the sensors to stay put on my tv, and even after i taped it down, i rarely used it.

i was probably 7 or 8 at the oldest at the time i had the thing. that evil, evil thing.

I remember one time they had a promotion where if you subscribe to Nintendo Power you would get a free copy of Dragon Warrior. Terrible game made even worse as I was playing Phantasy Star on the Master System at the time but free was free.

Nintendo Power was good fun back then. I used to get that and Sega Visions and the occasional Turbografx newsletter.

man...those were the days.

See sig line.

I'm ATOT's biggest collector, I also have issues 1-75 (or is it 80) in MINT condition.

I used to be a subscriber, but once we got the internet it was pretty much pointless because all of the cheats/reviews/strategy guides could be found for free online weeks before they appeared in the magazine.
