What I be prosecuted for possession of child pornography if I took pictures of myself nude(17) and stored them on the comp? what if I put them on the internet?
(purely hypothetical)

Why would you want to do something like that?

There was just a thread about a case here where two underage teenagers took pictures of themselves..kept them to themselves..but now they're both sex offenders.
I'd guess this fits under that, unfortunately.

I don't. As I said, it was a purely hypothetical situation. However..say a teenager kept a rigorous exercise regimen and wanted to measure his progress through full body photographs. If the police for some reason or another accessed his computer, would he be held accountable?

probably lots of people have pics of their kids with no clothes on (e.g., when they were in the bath or swimming pool). it's not pornography just because the child has no clothes on. there would have to be some kind of sexual activity or exploitation, I would have thought. Also, I doubt anyone would be dumb enough to prosecute such a situation.

You ever thumbed through the nude art books available at a normal book store like borders? (Yes, I was bored, and nude art sounded interesting haha...) There are some pretty disturbing books in there... innocent pics of your own children nude? well ok... but... publishing those photos in a book for the whole world to see??? :Q![]()

I see no reason why nude portraits of kids or babies should be off limits for photographers or artists. the hysteria in the USA over child pornography is ludicrous.
