Child custody question

Can someone tell me what exactly "Primary Legal Physical Custody" means? I have searched around quite a bit and I've found "sole legal and physical custody", "joint legal and physical custody".....but not "PRIMARY".

I ask this because my g/f has a court document that states she has primary custody. I don't know by reading that document what her rights are or what the rights of her sons father are. Any lawyers in here?????? I'm aggravated as all hell.

Thanks.

Well, the word primary would lead me to believe it is joint custody with her being the primary care giver. Find all the documentation from the custody hearings and start reading.

IANAL

There is no black and white answer to that one. The term primary would lead me to believe that she has the higher percentage of physical and legal custody. The fathers visitation and legal rights/responsibilities should be outlined in the court documents.
