lol. Do people actually pull up to kids and ask them if they want to ride with them? I've been hearing this shit since I was in elementary school in 1980. Is there even a single documented case of a kid going into a car in this manner?

I'm calling bullshit. Some kid probably wanted some attention.

This is as believable as needles in Halloween candy.

Uh, sorry, you're (unfortunately) VERY wrong. When my wife was 8, some guy tried to get her to go in his car. First he gave her some story about losing his puppy, then when she wouldn't he actually tried to grab her and pull her into the car. Fortunately her mom had talked to her about something like that and she screamed and fought like hell and he took off. They actually caught the guy later that day at another school, he had no pants on. Sick bastard. Bullet to the head is the only solution for someone like that.

No way. They are perfectly ok going to prison, trust me. Even the hardest meanest thugs in prison have limits when it comes to kids, they take care of business when it comes to child molesters. I prefer the don't ask don't tell policy when it comes to those bastards in prison.

The deterrent is there, they are just so screwed up they don't care and are willing to take the risk.

I've gotten two blast voicemails from the school district warning the parents of this person.
 
Everyone is always scared of the "stranger." Most molestation cases are committed by family members. No one raises an eyebrow when grandpa asks to babysit all the time.

That is true. My friend was raped by her uncle when she was a kid for years. She's really messed up in the head because of it.
