WELL! Now I see where Newegg put all it's free shipping. They moved it to the other site. FOR TEH WIN!

Yeah... well, I've been eyeing that 512MB stick of Rosewill RAM at Newegg. From them it's $54.99 plus $4.99 FedEx saver shipping. The exact same item is $57.99 with free shipping at ChiefValue. Guess I'll buy it from ChiefValue.

Search for item # N82E16819116200 on both sites. Same product although if you search the page on ChiefValue you'll notice that the search value doesn't appear anywhere on that page.

Also, check out www2.newegg.com which is their beta site. Looking similar to CV's layout doesn't it?

HP LaserJet 1012 part number
At Newegg: N82E16828104266
At ChiefValue: CF28104266

Too similar to be coincidence

Serisously? It's done all the time. Increase market share w/o increasing a single brand. At a point a brand will likely peak it's market share and one way to get more is introduce a competitor. Who cares if they lose a sale between them, it all goes to the same bottom line. The fact it's a virtual store is even better, less overhead on the clone site.

Just look at the auto market and all their spin-off companies.

True, but the auto companies don't deny they are a part of the same family. For ex: Honda/Acura.
