CHIEFTECH (Antec OEM) Server Chasis (Workstation Tower) Model CT1030 - Black (No PSU) for $60 shipped @ newegg

Oh yeah? Just go to newegg's home page, and you'll see what I'm talking about on the very bottom left corner. This would've been such a nice deal with a 300W PSU or even sweeter with the 350W Enermax.

Good Link

Actually, I think this is a great deal. Here's why:

I LOVE this case...it's the best I have ever used. But it is hard to find with anything but a 300 or 350 PS.
Some of the new Athlon XPs and KT266a MB have had problems due to under-powered PSs, so I'm getting this case and the Enermax 431W PS.

To the best of my knowledge, this case cannot be found shipping w/ a 400W PS, so this is a HOT deal for someone who wants a higher-rated PS.

I bought this same case for $98 from newegg two or three weeks ago w an Enernax Whisper 350. It's still somewhere on there site...oddly enough I just got back from UPS, had to ship the psu back for a repair/switch out.

Yeah, you have a point beloved patriot. You can also find very decent 400W PSUs very cheaply now and save some money. I got me two of the $24 ones yesterday, just to have around. Also, for anyone buying/testing "cheap" PSUs, get yourself an ATX Power Supply tester for $10 shipped from PCPowerCooling.com.

My link was good though, I think. Newegg is down.

actually, your link is bad. it is just the title hyperlinked or whatever. move your mouse over the link, and look at bottom right of your screen, you will see what i mean.

deez

Nice find! I've been looking at the Antec SX1000 in beige (same case, save for the colour and non-OEM brand) at EMS computing, and this is definitely a solid deal. Thanks!

this is an awesome deal.
if i don't buy soon they will run out 🙁
but i don't really need it.

Word of caution. These cases are not authentic antec cases, they ordered newegg to remove the antec name off their website under these cases and yet it is still up. Call antec yourself if you doubt me. Its a really nice case and deal, dont get me wrong. The only thing its lacking is the antec 3 yr warranty, but its a case and it just sits there so why do you need a long warranty. Right?

Anyone know which size fans the ChiefTech accommodates? The Antec SX1030 uses 80mm's, but the ChiefTech site doesn't have specifics. I presume it's also 80mm, but if anyone knows otherwise, please post. TIA!

Dont ask me why, but IgoByte's origical link is showing the SB 5.1 sound card for me and beloved patriot's actual link shows the same case but for $45!!! Am I missing something here? Not to mention, that I need a case!!! Is this a good one to get for this price? I already have a good psu 😉. An Enermax 431, but need a new case. What about cases would you guys also rec? Thx.

EDIT: My bad. The origical link works fone. Why the hell did I think the special on the top was the product? Arghhh...damn pills.

DAICA..there's no authentic Antec cases--they dont make their own cases--they just bought 'em off some big taiwanese OEM supplier and slap Antec names on all of them.

Yep, those same Antec cases we have here are sold in Europe under a different name.

I want, I want, I want!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone know if a fan baybus from pcmods.com will work with this case. I worried about the door closing and not hitting the toggle switches.

DAICA, antec doesn't make cases.
if im not mistaken, chenming is the one that make these cases and supply them to antec and chieftech.

Quick question. I have the SB Live 5.1 with the LiveDrive and was wondering if that enclosure would get in the way of it? If it does, I wont let that hinder me and will instead just not use it. Heck I don't use it anywayz.

Yup, you go it. And for those in the Bay Area, Chenming has an office in Union City where you can buy cases without power supplies, cash purchase only. They quoted me $59 for a 12xx and $58 for a modified 8xx (1 extra hard drive cage w/ fan). If you're in the area, check them out.

So anybody who has this case; could you please fill me on the amount of open space when the front cover is closed so that I can buy it...me want now.

I had several SX830s and a 1030 and never had a problem with my LiveDrives.
