Chieftec DA-01SLD

I have been looking for a new case...I like the Antec sx1240, but i don't like the looks that much. Then I recently ran across the Chieftec DA-01SLD, which looks to be the same case, but with a door and better yet, it comes in several colors (blue, silver, and black). BTW, they also have colored versions of the sx1030/40 series.

This appears to be the same case Alienware uses for some of their high end systems. I have not been able to find out how to purchase one. I called the number on Chieftec's website, but the person on the other end was pretty clueless. I also tried calling Alienware to see if they sold the cases separately, but they don't (although the guy told me they are considering it in the future). Does anybody have any idea where or how I could purchase one of these cases?

good luck man. i've been trying to get a hold of their cases for awhile... the only one i've gotten is the TG-103... try looking for UNEEC or Chenming @ pricewatch. Some of them are slowly creeping in the US but it seems as though the case you want won't be here for awhile. What you could do though is get an SX1200 series and just contact chieftec for the front bezel. They told me to contact a distributor near me since it would cost too much to ship... but then there is NO distributor near me so they told me to contact them again. Funny thing is... virtual-hideout.net has pics of people that have those cases ??? Give it a try and let us know how it went.

i know that they are very soon getting them into stock at OverClock.co.uk if you are in the UK, but i'm not 100% sure on whether they ship abroad and how much it costs. It may be worth having a look. that's the only place i've seen them around
