Chicken and dumplings

That's one of those foods where it can be the best thing you ever ate or complete torture. Dumpling making is a fine art, as there's a fine line between noodle-like texture and doughy, mushy bread balls.

My work cafeteria uses ground chicken slices and calls them dumplings in their "chicken and dumpling" soup.

OP doesn't seem to make sense, what does nuclear striek have to do with it? That's a term for eating a lot of food?

Good chicken and dumplings are tasty.

And the dumplings don't have a filling. Gravy covers that (literally).

Biscuit dumplings > noodle dumplings.

That is all.

 Noodle dumplings can go straight to hell. That's chicken noodle soup with thickener in there. Canned chicken and dumplings at restaurants (or home, but who would buy that?) can go to hell as well.

That is so untrue. Real, honest chix & dumplings has a thick pasta-like dumpling like so:

If you get doughy dumplings, they weren't done correctly (or you're using some hack Betty Crocker recipe involving Bisquick).

Your life is a lie.

I hate the thick, biscuit like dumplings. My grandma used to make them and would roll them out nice and thin. Nothing could beat it.
