I last ate at a CFA like 8 years ago and wondered why I just didn’t go to Wendy’s and get the spicy chicken instead. Meh sandwiches in the first place.

Damn never had the Wendy's spicy chicken sandwich. Don't know why I haven't gotten around to it since I love their spicy nuggets. Better than Popeye's though? Popeyes spicy chicken plus some red beans and rice is my goto when I want a chicken sandwich.

I make a great grilled chicken sandwich.

brine the chicken breast for 1-2 hours. Season with hidden valley ranch powder. Grill. While grilling baste with hidden valley ranch dressing.

Serve with bib lettuce, tomato, avacado, bacon, pepper Jack cheese, spicy bread and butter pickles with no sauce or your choice of chick fil a sauce, Mayo, flavored Mayo or ranch on a toasted brioche bun.

For fast food, I prefer Wendy’s spicy chicken sandwich over everyone else’s. Popeyes spicy chicken sandwich is good too but it was too massive and messy.

My go to chicken cooking trick is to mix whatever flavors I want with Mayo and cook immediately like that.

So for grilled chicken if I want like a lemon chicken I’ll use thyme and lemon and Mayo, smother the chicken (for breasts, I butterfly cut them and give them a light pounding) and cook on a high gear for a nice crust.

For fried spicy chicken I’ll use my favorite hot sauce (el tapatio) mixed with spices and Mayo, I’ll then dip it in flour that has the same spices minus the el tapatio, then dip that in egg and then a final dip in the seasoned flour one more time and then fry it. The hotter the hot sauce the spicier the chicken.

So I have to blame Biden for why I'm waiting for reality in the lumber prices to re-plank my deck with cedar. Not going to happen this summer (will buy some caution tape). Also, probably delaying redoing my kitchen for another year. It's frigging insane.
Still not blaming Biden.
I live surrounded by DNR, and private commercial forests. The closest saw mill is in Shelton, about 20 mi south as the crow flies. But, it's not cheap Canadian lumber. So...

Aren't those good qualities in a sandwich? Popeyes makes the best fried chicken. Glad I don't live near one. Trying to lose a few lbs

Probably been 45 years or so since my grandmother died. So, I haven't had any descent fired chicken since. The only place in the world that made fried chicken like my grandmother used to was a place in Atlanta. Don't know if it still exists but it was called Pitti Pat's Porch. ( like from Gone with the Wind).

Popeye's knows about pepper and little else. I don't mind it, but some people don't dig heaps of pepper.
