OK Zuchini.....since it seems that in your opinion, everyone but you is wrong, where is this poll that shows 80% support for Gore continuing and 20% saying he should concede? Everyone else states their source......I've looked everywhere I can think of and found nothing close to what you say......I just want to lay my eyes on the page myself OK!

from abcnews, politics index, washington post. Keep in mind one i saw was taken before gore made his speech.

by the way, not all polls are equal. Much depends on how the question was asked not to mention where the poll took place.

I don't know why I bother posting on a board full of republicans who hear what they want to hear. Maybe I just like to get a rise,I don't know. I just love how not one single person who posts any hint of a liberal leaning gets away without being flamed with a fury. Justice will prevail and then I will just sit here and watch the whining commence. They are already bringing the votes up north to be counted.

<< Justice will prevail >>

So, you now recognize that Bush won. Kudos to you for seeing the error of your ways.

BTW, it doesn't matter what city Gore's Goons use to bogus up some Goresky votes. He is still history. If he keeps up his delay tactics, the Florida State Legislature is going hand him his ass.

Ape, if I'm wrong, I'll admitt it! I hve no problem with that. I made a logical choice as to the outcome based upon research, to many issues weigh heavily against Gore succeeding. as far as the men, neither of them offers much to be perfectly honest! My main problem with Gore is that he wants to do our thinking for us, he gives the immpression that he doesn't think the people are smart enough to take care of their own lives & I just happen to disagree with some of his issues/ideals mainly pertaining to money & guns. As for the votes, I have to say that in all fairness, that is somewhat hard to believe because all major media has reported that a citizens group will be looking over PBC and possibly Miami/Dade the next 2 - 3 days. maybe I'm wrong, I'll go check!

veryape - I will point out that the voting machines and the instructions that clearly say punch all the way and check to be sure are also heading north.

Gore could lose in a bunch of ways. The Judge could decide that PBC's more strict method was correct as it is more objective in determining intent. If he then decides to allow the count, the Republicans can insist that Broawrd County be checked as well. Gore loses.

He can use the machine, examine the instructions, and then say, no recount.

The Democrats need him to rule on a more liberal counting method and order a recount.

Even if the Republicans lose, they will appeal. If the question is still in doubt by the 12th, Gore loses (the Florida Legislature steps in).

Judicial watch is going to have trouble looking over ballots. Part from Palm Beach & all the Miam/Dade undervotes are to be boxed up & shipped to the contest trial judge tomorrow.

Plus ALgore's team has the problem of having misrepresented the standard about dimples to the Fl supreme ct in that Illinois Case.

The defense missed a great shot tonite when Gore's atty said several times that they made no representation of the Palm Beach vote Board having made an error. The defense should have asked for the statement to be repeated & then asked for a directed verdict then for that county.

Also Palm Beach has ballots screwed up. They have a buch of precincts that have incorrect total votes & stuff after the hand recount. They mixed up a bunch of cards, sounds like.

Ape, you were pretty much correct....

<< Election officials in both counties (Miami/Dade, PBC) spoke to the judge by speaker phone during the Tuesday hearing and agreed to send the disputed ballots to the Tallahassee courthouse in police cars by noon Friday. Arrangements will be made to put 10,750 Miami-Dade and 3,300 Palm Beach ballots into the custody of the court clerk for a possible review of a sample from each county. >>

Zuchini....not so right......

<< The survey, conducted Sunday night, found that slightly more than half of Americans believe the vote count in Florida was accurate and six in 10 want Gore to concede. A similar percentage of those surveyed--56 percent--also approved of the decision by the Florida secretary of state to deny a request by Palm Beach election officials to extend Sunday's deadline for completing their hand recount. >>

Zuch, not from the site you gave me, I have the Window open and searched the whole site. Somewhere else? I'm just curious if there are "other" numbers out there! All the ones I find are similar......anywhere from 60 - 80% Gore should Concede across the board.

I saw the 80% too Zuch,

it was taken from folks who had voted for Gore & were asked if they still supported him. The wording was different in the different polls.

Found this there also.......

 • Vice President Gore called on the Florida courts yesterday to expedite his challenge to the certification of Texas Gov. George W. Bush as the winner of that state's 25 electoral votes, asking that the ballots be recounted within a week. But a Florida circuit court judge rejected the request saying a sample would be brought for possible review pending the outcome of a hearing on Saturday, dealing Gore a major setback in his race against the clock.
