Chicago hotels near Chinatown

Title says it all.

My mom is going up there next week. Since she is Asian, she wants a "nice" (read: cheap but good) hotel that is near Chinatown. I found the BestWestern Grant Park. I mean, it's cheap (79 a night) and it looks like it is a mile from chinatown and it is right off of public transit. Not sure how nice it is.

Any other suggestions?
