It's pretty ironic that the idea of equality among people is so fearful to you, that you actually regard it as a bedtime story, and I assume a scary one at that.

We have many answers.
People keep going to extreme answers because the easy stuff hasn't worked and some of us are too impatient for long-term solutions.
