CHICAGO CUBS - 2007 NL CENTRAL CHAMPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Almost... SD leads MIL by 3 going into the bottom of the 8th, if the score holds then the Cubs clinch the NL central.

Ahh it's a good year to be a fan of the underdogs/most likely to collapse teams.

God, I hope we clinch ... that would be awesome.

Yes, yes indeed. I was in my 2nd year of college in a small-ass dorm room when Steve Bartman messed 2003 up..

Maddux helping out the Cubs yet again! If Zambrano, Lilly, & Hill pitch like they're capable of, the playoffs should be some fun. I'll take the Cubs bullpen over everyone else's any day of the week, and the offense should be good enough, as long as we don't face any mediocre to good left handers. 😉

I'm worried about the fact that Florida got to us though.

Congrats Cubs fans. The wild card will come from the NL West so I assume you'll face either the Diamondbacks or the Pads. Not sure how it works though. I guess the Pads since the Diamondbacks have the best record so they'll face the Phillies. Is that right?

Of course we all know what this means - non-stop national coverage on Bartman & billy goats. 🙁

There's only one way to put the past to a rest, though. 😀

Still could come from the east, I don't think any of the teams have guaranteed post season play - Phillies, Mets, Diamondbacks, Padres, & Rockies.

*****CUBS CLINCH!*****

I'm really impressed with this group of kids. They started out shaky but finished with a bang.

Diamondbacks clinched the division tonight. Padres lead wildcard. Rockies and Mets are both 2 games back. Padres just have to win tomorrow.

Diamondbacks are 1 game up with 2 to play.

The team started out a total mess of bodies, but actually in the end they played the veterans, The Riot the only youngster in the regular starting lineup. But there's no way they would have made it if it weren't for Marmol in the bullpen, now there's a kid who stepped up in a huge way!

I had it wrong too, thought the Mets were 2 games behind the D-Backs, when they're actually 3, so they are in. Although I was kinda rooting for the Rockies given their last week & a half! :Q

they are simply the greatest barely above 500 team to ever play the game. Thanks NL central!

It should just be the top 4 teams in the league, stupid divisions.

Congrats Cubs fans!, hoping for a Cubs/Red Sox series although it might distort
the space/time continuum, I'm all for it!!
