Chicago Bears LB Urlacher talks smack about Tebow in loss

I expect another epic 4th quarter performance by Tebow on Sunday against the Pats, shockingly pulling 14 points out of his @ss in the final 2 minutes of regulation to lead the Broncos to a 45-14 loss. 😛

You're talking about the mystical Patriots that beat the 0-13 Colts by 7 points?

That game will be a lot closer than you apparently think.

fwiw - the Pats were screwing around trying different players on defense in the 4th qtr of that game.

But the Pats D does make ordinary QBs look extraordinary. The question will be how the Broncos try and play. If they try to run first, I think they'll be down quickly. They'll need to pass more to take advantage of the Pats weakness.

The manlet from San Diego is correct, it will be fun to watch.

How are them chargers doing little boy?

Chargers suck... and I'm 5'11" barefooted. Manlet not found. 😛

After New England next week they face the Bills and then the Chiefs...two absolutely horrible teams. Yeah, the Broncos beat the Chargers (6-7), the Raiders (7-6), the Chiefs (5-8), the Vikings (2-11), the Bears (7-6), and the Dolphins (4-9). Not exactly powerhouse teams at the moment.

Without Marion Barber this thread doesn't exist. Tebow sucked beyond belief for 3+ quarters.

I think NFL defenses just haven't taken the spread seriously up to this point, and they have no experience handling it. Eventually they'll have to.

Maybe NE will.

edit - I'll give credit where it is due. Tebow runs it really well.

*sigh* Always making excuses.

The bottom line is this, they beat the Chargers, Raiders, Chiefs, Dolphins, Vikings and Bears. That's nearly 20% of the league they beat. All of them. Let's not forget the Chargers, Raiders, Dolphins and Bears have all beat some good teams this year too.

I don't think the Bronco's will beat the Patriots this week, but I REALLY want them to, just to see what type of excuses people come up with for this game.

The spread, as in multiple receivers and an empty backfield? That's a common 3rd and long formation, what's so unusual about this now?

I don't. I'll be rooting for New England... and I hate the Patriots.

I'm not a terminology expert, but I'm pretty sure shotgun and spread are different. Florida's spread under Meyer (which I believe Denver runs now) is a run/pass option formation that no one has given and extended trial in the NFL for a really long time (if ever).

Den seems to try a conventional offense for a while and switch to that spread against prevent defenses (where it works brilliantly).

and why wasn't Vince young given this sort of reception when the gimmicky offense he was running took a dead team to the playoffs?

All I'm gonna say is if that STUPID MORONIC IDIOTIC running back doesn't go out of bounds, OR, some kicker nobody outside of Denver would be able to recognize if he walked down the street wearing his own jersey doesn't kick one of the longest FGs in NFL history, Tebow is crying in the post-game presser last night. Luckiest throwing full back ever, and it's simply ridiculuous how this guy gets ALL the accolades when his defense and kicker should be the ones we're talking about.

I don't see that as a defense issue i see that as Lovie being a fucking retard with the "prevent" defense. it has cost him a few times. only thing prevent defense does is prevent you from winning.

lovie is a fucking turd. i wish they would have fired him years ago.

They will change out coaches this off season (contracts are up anyway) but replace with who?

because Vince Young does not have Jesus on his side, and beside Jesus doesn't like Black QB. 🙂

It's been a while since I wrote in a newspaper, but doesn't the "..." in a quote mean part of that quote was taken out there? So when I see:

"He's a good running back ... He does a good job for them," Urlacher told reporters when asked about Tebow.

That makes me think there was more there that the press took out for drama purposes. Not that Urlacher is known to be a friendly kind-hearted individual, it's just something I noticed.

Yeah, he could have just been describing how Tebow can act as a running back in some called plays.

Did you watch the game?

It should have been over with Tebow not having a chance to do anything.

Bear Running Back stepped out of bounds like an idiot and gave Tebow the chance.

Yes, he did execute and made best out of the chance.

Whoa whoa whoa...lets get something corrected here.

Tebow did nothing to capitalize on either the run out of bounds or the fumble in OT. The KICKER making amazingly long fieldgoals did it after tebow proved again and again that he couldn't move the ball. This is not, as much as ESPN and the NFL network wants it to me, a "Tebow led win." It's a win by the special teams of Denver.

They've won 7 times with Tebow, and in 5 of those wins they've scored less than 20 points to win. Sounds to be like the Denver defense is what's behind these W's.

You forgot the Jets.

And 5'11" is manlet territory, hater.

😛

LMAO, hater.

.....and they sucked until Tebow took over. Now even the defense is stepping up as they rally around a WINNER, in football and in life. It makes all of you mad because Tebow is not out at the strip clubs and beating people up. God doesn't care about football, but Tebow is a beleiver that is living a life you should respect.

I'm really starting to think God does care about football and Tebow.

And the refs do as well - the two roughing calls were horseshit. The NFL was telling the Bears to stay away from their new cash cow.

Did you guys see Brian Dawkins STAND on the sidelines to watch Tebow. I'll tell ya what, if I was a 13 year vet, I'd be drinking water on the sidelines, but when Tebow is out there, you gotta stand, watch, and believe.

I have absolutely never seen a football player stand on the sidelines and watch his football game before.

😛

😉 No it's not. I even created a poll and I think the general concensus was 5'6" or 5'7" and below was a manlet.

According to urban dictionary:

1 5'7" or smaller. Usually have Napoleonic syndrome.

2 a small man who has to use lines such as "Hi you are really beautiful and I would like to have sex with your ankles, can we do it please?" to get laid.

It has also been reported that manlets can die from eating a manwich. Their body cannot hand this amount of manly meat.

A man who is below 5'5" is a manlet. They even resemble a chode.

I'll fully admit to being a Denver/Tebow hater though. 😛
