There are a few interesting cars at the Chicago Auto Show that were just unveiled.

Camaro ZL1 ~550hp supercharged

Charger SRT-8 - 465hp 6.4L

Jetta GLI - same old 200hp engine in the updated car

Genesis 5.0 R-Spec - 429hp and some trim/body kit/wheels. Looks alright. I was hoping for more.

Acura TL facelift - It's not completely hideous anymore, and it gets a 6AT. 60GB HD "infotainment"/nav system.

There are probably some more, but those are the ones that stood out to me.

Looks like it wasn't mentioned in the C&D article, but there's a new Charger model above the SRT8 for 2012.

I can't lie...the old man in me likes that Genesis 5.0r-spec. I'm sure it handles a corner like drunk elephant...but the engine looks promising. Wonder if they'll give it a good growl since this is the "performance" version of the car.

new charger looks stupid. may just be that black bumper part. may also be those scoops on the side.

TL still looks like someone tried to fold it in half.

There's a Mercedes C-class coupe today:

I kinda like the Genesis too. The center stack silver buttons look cheap to me, but I can deal with it with that much power. I'm hoping that it depreciates fast. It could make a good used car.

I wish I liked the Charger more, the engine sounds like it will be awesome. I trust their quality control even less than I would Hyundai. The styling doesn't really do it for me either. I actually prefer the styling of that TL over the Charger. I wish they were announce a 465hp version of the TL.

The Camaro is awesome, but that's one of those cars that I will never consider buying. I would rather have something else in that price range.

I want to want a TL because it fits everything I'm looking for in a car. The styling has gone from ugly to boring now. I guess that's an upgrade. I'm so undecided about what I would get if something happened to my current 2006 TL.

The Genesis coupe was designed to compete with the Mustang, so I wonder if they are putting this engine in the coupe too.

That would be downright crazy, in a good way.
