Chevelle's new song sucks :(

I have liked everyone of their songs on both albums and then they come out with this Until You're Reformed crap, bleh 🙁

I love chevelle 2, just really disappointed with this song, its nothing like their style AT ALL

Big Chevelle fan (seeing them this weekend with TRUSTcompany), too. As good as Point #1 is, Wonder What's Next is so much better, I think. When I first saw this thread, I was about to come in here and yell at you for saying that Send The Pain Below was a bad song 🙂

I agree with you to a certain extent, though. Until You're Reformed doesn't quite seem like it would fit on WWN. I almost expected it to sound like a track that could have been on the album since the album is fairly recent. It's not a bad song by any means, but if it was on either of their albums, it'd probably be towards the bottom of the barrel.

I used to listen to these guys years ago and then decided they sucked. The new stuff is pretty generic too, but at least it's not as flat out BAD as the old stuff was.

They sound in line with the myriad of other "nu metal" bands that are grasping for tool and hitting linkin park or limp bizkit. They do bare a very slight resemblence to Grammatrain in there as well, but that's complimentry. I hear them compared to Tool a lot also, but I honestly don't see it. I'm not saying it's awful, but mediocre. The first CD was unpolished, and the new one is too radio friendly.

Didn't Send The Pain Below just get released recently as a single? I don't listen to the radio very often, but when I was at home for Christmas break, I listened to it a lot when I was at work and didn't hear Send The Pain Below once. In fact, they were still playing The Red. I know it's not new as far as time goes since it's on Wonder What's Next (forgot until just now that the album came out in August 🙂), but it is the most recent single.

I tried to find them by searching for "Chevelle" and had no luck. If you search for "Send The Pain Below," for example, you can find the Wonder What's Next album page here. By clicking the link at the top of the page, you can get to the band page, which is supposedly here, although it's not loading for me at the moment. I have been to their page on allmusic.com, though, so I know it is there.
