I have a decent amount of chest hair, but it's annoying because it's kinda spotty. There some areas where i have hair and then other areas where i don't. I've been thinking about shaving it... but just haven't done it. I think i will try shaving it this weekend and let you know.

anyone want pics??

i would really suggest against shaving it, specially if its hairy.. it will itch and bother you until it starts growing back, not really worth it--

HOWEVER, i trim my chest down quite a bit, mostly cause i hate hair and it shows my chest definition. I would recommend that, girls seem to prefer it aswell. and while you're at it take care of your stuff down low with the same thing so you dont look stupid. oh and mach3 the balls.

if you shave your chest hair, will it grow back thicker? or is that just an old wives tale?

IMHO, chest shaving is appropriate depending on what you are doing it for. For swimming, muscle building as described above, sounds fine. Cause your GF likes a hairless chest, sure(make her shave your chest). Cause you are trying to impress someone, no.

You just said it's ok if you shave it for your gf but not ok if it's to impress someone. Isn't shaving it for your gf to impress her?

I've shaved my chest for years. I started doing it because I had like 8 hairs that grew from my nipples to a length of like 3 inches. It was freaky looking so I just shaved them off and while I was at it I shaved off the small amount of hair on my chest. Plus my wife likes it shaved and I'm ripped:)

if you gonna shave it, you better make a commitment out of it. because it will grow back FASTER and more FURIOUS (no pun intended). I shaved it once and in less than a week it grew back with a vengence: they are thicker and 'healthy'. I do not intend in shaving my chest again unless I do those "electrolisisy" thingie.

I don't have a lot of chest hair to begin with, but what I do have gets shaved or Naired off.

hehe it's funny this thread came up.....I was shaving last Saturday and
thought...."hmmm my chest hair is sure getting long....I wonder what
it would think if I shaved it off.....so it all came off in about 15 minutes.

From the waist up I was as smooth as a newborn baby's bottom :)

I came out without my shirt on and my wife didn't say a
thing until later on that night when I saw her looking at me
and she had a strange look on her face...I asked her what was
wrong and she said "something is different about you" and about
the same time she said that she busted out laughing... You lost
all your hair!

most women don't like a lot of chest hair, I naturally don't have much chest hair (runs in the family) but I do keep what I have trimmed down for my wife.

I'm not ripped, but my stomach is flat. So I shave my chest/stomach once a week.

I have more hair on my chest than on my head. Only if it were the other way round...

This original question was should one get rid of the chest hair to better see muscle development. If I were to do this, I'd use Nair for Men (as it's more manly that way :D).
