I was in Chess Team in high school. Some weeks I would go to chess meets with the chess team in the high school's chess van. Completely white van.

I was recruited as a sacrificial lamb for the middle school chess team to play the best player in the city. I beat him - twice. I've never seen somebody get so pissed off about something as inconsequential as....chess. I seriously thought the guy was going to slug me.
