Sorry, surgery doesnt change your gender. The ultra-PC crowd needs to DIAF.
Agreed. You are what you are. The mind can play many games.
Sometimes we call it schizophrenia or multiple personality or bi-polar.
But when it's gender issues, oh no, you're definitely misunderstood. There is no disease here, you are really are something you're not. No question about that.
Of course we question it, but it's still a fact... Do you even know what schizophrenia is? Or bi-polar disorder? Or multiple personality disorder for that matter? :frown: They're not comparable to someone who feels like they're a man in a woman's body or vice versa.
It's no different than someone who knows they're gay.
We're just bags of chemicals. Very complex ones at that. What makes you a man? Hint: It's a lot more than your sexual organs*. Think about it for more than 2 nanoseconds and you will realize this.
What makes you who you are? Your likes, dislikes? I think it's more than nurture. For example, I have liked botany and horticulture ever since I can remember**. I've always been interested in it, and subsequently good at it. I've always been curious why this is. Anyway, the way that I'm innately interested in botany is the same innate feeling that I feel when I look at a woman, or that a gay man feels when they look at another man. It's
who you are, and you are the only one that knows who you are. In my opinion, your view is extremely naive and short sighted. Do you also lack empathy? Just put yourself in their shoes.
*Obviously they play a very significant role, being that they tend to produce a lot of major hormones. It's still not the whole picture though. Again, I will use the gay reference - Many people know they're gay well before puberty.
**I remember browsing at the library in kindergarten and always checking out the plant and gardening books. I was(and still am) voracious in my quest for plant-related knowledge. It's strange.
