Cher and David Bowie Doing It

These songs, that hair, those dance moves, this duo, dang. The thin white duke and Sonny's better half, making some magic. Sigh, they both look so damn young.

I was never a fan of Cher and her music back in her heyday -- too farking mainstream pop commercial, but coming across this youtube clip gave me some measure of new appreciation for what she had going on.

Bonus Round: Cher and Tina Turner. Sexxxxay!

I never watched any of the network variety shows that these clips came from back in the day. You couldn't have made me sit down and watch, even if I had owned a TV back then, which I defiantly didn't. But this little side trip down a memory lane I'd never actually traversed left a big ol' grin on my face.

That is all.

Cue the thread crapping trolls who will now bleat their dismissive cultural superiority. 😛

Cher's voice always annoyed me. It seemed to shift from when Sonny and Cher broke up. Perhaps it was her nose job? Listen to her early "I've got you babe" recording and the late night recording.

I think that is the most clothing Cher has ever worn on stage. 😛

I remember she did a TV special from Monte Carlo back in the 70s where her outfit was nothing but rope. It left a strong impression in my tender mind.

Watch the one in the OP with Tina Turner. I'm seeing this stuff for the first time. It's leaving an impression on my tender old mind. 😛

I'm going to take a stand here and say that it (op vid) sounded terrible and unappealing.

I like much of David Bowie's stuff; Cher not-so-much. And the rough, late 70's bad mix and youtube quality made it unwatchable for me.

Not sure what the thread title meant before clicking, skimming over the post contained therein has done nothing to change that.
