If you had read the piece, you would see its not an opinion piece. Learn to read. Especially when compared to the one paragraph thing you posted thats anywhere close to the topic post.

If youve got any links that show Cheney's "death squads" are still operated by the new company, Academi, post away. Otherwise, as Nebor said, youre being an alarmist. Opinion piece indeed.

Rage on, bro.

It's a Blog AKA opinion piece...

Rage on bro . :)

You have to give mad props to Cheney, though. Think about it. How many people can shoot someone in the face and the person they shot apologizes for getting in the way?

for a "secret" squad they are pretty easy to get info on.

Surely not near the amount anybody would like.

I remember back when the iraq war kicked off and they talked about contractor deaths... I had no idea at the time they were talking about mercenaries.

And didn't Ron Paul say at the latest debate they're going to staff the new iraq embassy w\ some 17k "contractors" ?

These guys make upwards of 3-5 times what an average military grunt makes per year.

Its an interview, not an opinion piece.

And Im not really raging about it (I didnt create a thread with incorrect info about a non issue ;) ). Im pretty meh about it, actually.

Anyway. The great thing about America is you can believe what you want even if its not true :)

But they don't get any benefits and the total cost of fielding them is significantly lower.

That sounds like the GOP mantra...
