ChenBro Game Bomb case.

ChenBro dropped the ball on that one...I had to have one...And had several customers lined up who I convinced they were the "Bomb"

After months of setting the release date up and then jacking up the price from what was the rumored MSRP...I got pissed.

Went to their forums and expressed my displeasure...Seems I was not the only one...Everybody was miffed to say the very least.

Then after finally getting it to MicroCenter it only came in silver...Finally black started showing up and NewEgg got some.

Seems the sales were not what they had expected...Small wonder...Overpriced and very limited availability turned everybody off and they stopped making it.

Kinda of a shame...Very nice case...I made a few builds using them and they were very nice...Refused to buy one for myself because of the delay's and pricing.

i bought the case and it's quite nice. but i had to remove the screwless card holder thing to put the agp and pci cards in... and still almost had to break them to get them in. i'm not sure if that's a defect in my particular case, a defect in the model as a whole, or the motherboard, or how i screwed the motherboard in. if not for my worries about that, i would buy several and get rid of all my other cases. it's really quality especially for that price.
also the one from svc doesn't come with the drive cage.

This is the Gaming Box, not bomb. I have it - it's OK.
Pro:
Nice solid construction, looks good.
Front audio and usb ports.
120 mm rear fan mount with fan, mine was broken.
Front 80/92mm mount with dust filters.

Con:
No reset button.
No mobo tray.
Tool-less rails work for CD and floppy but not HDDs.
There are only two hard drive spots pretty close together.
May want to get an adapter for 3-pin to molex for the rear fan so you dont have a heavy draw off the motherboard.

its the gaming bomb alright

for people interested in looking at the bomb II check this forum's review section for a case review on it

and this deal was from the same retailer for $9.99 ar before? price may have gone up?

If anyone needs this case, lmk. I bought one but dont need it. It is still new and never used. Will sell it for $21 + actual shipping charges (FedEx, UPS, DHL, USPS...whatever you prefer).

I picked it up locally from their warehouse...so my cost was ~21.xx

I got some low temps with this box and a little mod. Made air filter for the front out of a dryer sheet. It's killer. Dropped my CPU temp by 6-8 degrees.
Air filter and ducting
Got a 92 mm nexus on the bottom blowing in, 130 mm in the back blowing out, also a VGA silencer on the 9800 Pro. The 130 mm is shrouded down to the bottom of the CPU Fan with tape and cardboard. Also a few other strategic pieces of cardboard to keep the air moving smoothly.

Put in a drive cage cut from the old case, stands in the bottom.
Put in a reset button at the bottom front Firewire spot. May move everything up to a panel replacing the floppy.

I called Chenbro USA and the guy I talked to says "The Gaming Bomb II is sold only in oriental countries."

That is a quote, and that is why it is in quotes.

Funny....I've got one, and it just happens to be for sale on my 4Sale Thread. 😉
