If you were on the hitlist why would you be in your house? I'd be 2 miles underground, preferably in China.

It was too cool . . . I didn't even have to search (and search and search like this morning) . . . I just went straight to your link.

It would be NICE if the topic's poster could PLEASE (at least) give some DETAILS so we won't read
"Saddam DEAD!!!!!!"

Or that's what I heard on FOX, Spanish Channel . . .

(and I don't speak Spanish but my friend said so as he passed me the bong).

(personal restraint used - no emoticon although I'd like to create my own right now)

Well, it didn't make the MSNBC home page for a bit. I did hear on TV earlier, myself, and I didn't see mention on the website yet.

What I meant - and no offence to the current poster - is that it would be really cool to post all possible DETAILS of what you heard on TV (channel, time, name of reporter, where it occurred, etc.) if you cannot find a link. That way - as time goes on and more information shows up on the 'net - we can find it and discuss the details.

If not, there are the inevitable flames - justified or not.

Sorry, when I saw the report on MSNBC it was "breaking news" that the anchor was reading. They didn't have much addional information on it at that time, they just said that they'll give more information when it's available. I looked on the news websites, but none of them had any mention of it yet.

I want to stress that I am not picking on you. You even had the "?" in the title.

My point was just a "general" rant as some controversial topics have been posted as soon as they "break" and have turned out to be completely false or very different from what was originally thought.

I think I am also guilty of this (and have been "lucky").

The idea - for both sides of the discussion - is to show some restraint and perhaps wait a moment to gather the facts before posting a new topic. The readers need to also do a little research before declaring it to be BS (or gospel truth).

Maybe he is dead?

MILITARY SOURCES told NBC News that bomb damage assessments and other intelligence indicate that the strike killed Ali Hassan al-Majeed and others, although his death has yet to be formally confirmed on the ground

I always felt that if I was going to become a murderous war criminal type, I would at least pick a better nick-name.

Stuff like "Chemical Ali" just makes it easier for the war crimes prosecutors.
It is much harder to convict someone with a name like "Lotsa' Fun At A Party Jimbo" as opposed to "Bringer of Death Jimbo" or "Baby Killer Jimbo".

We gave him that name, he didn't give himself that name.

I'm sure if he named himself his name would be something like "Ultra Brave and Victorious Ali"

I know, my post was tongue-in-cheek.

MSNBC TV (or was it FOX News? heck...I was switching channels so much I forgot ;) ) but anyway, one of them is reporting confirmation that the bodyguard of Chemical Ali was killed.
