Yeah because money solves all problems. </sarcasm>

Imagine every move you make being watched. Imagine living in the fear of kidnapping or violence. Imagine people pointing and talking about you everywhere you go. Internet forum clowns criticizing everything you do. Terrible life.

All this for $600k a year? Sounds like a lot to you but it doesn't go very far in real life, especially in NY.

OP, that was a moronic post.

Because of all the kidnappings and violence we hear about? It's a wonder we have celebrities at all with them getting snatched up like they do.

As for the rest, I do that here gratis. Since you think $600k is chump change, I accept bitcoins ;^)

Umm $600k is a lot no matter where you go. How does $600k not go far in NY?

Because they have security details and body guards and most generally avoid public places (besides high end areas that are heavily policed). Whens the last time you saw Harrison Ford at a taco truck in East LA?

$600k after taxes in about $400k a year. That's $34k a month. Even if you spent half your salary on housing, that's only $17k a month for housing. Do some shopping for a place in Manhattan, you get crap for that amount. Maybe a 2 or 3 bedroom in a safe area. $400k is middle class in NY. I'm not sure you have a grasp on how expensive NYC is.

$600k goes a long way where I live but not in NY.

No idea, but if I find myself in east LA, or really, anywhere in CA, I'll know my life went very wrong :^D

Ok, you outed yourself. Let me guess, you're in Texas or somewhere? And all those CA liberal hippies are just interested in sitting around smoking dope and complaining?

CA is great if you're got money. In Clinton's case, money is not her problem, the problem is fame. Fame is a terrible burden to have. I feel sorry for her.

Wow, only 34K a month, after taxes.

Bummer.

Very astute observation. I see you've paid close attention my posts around here. I'm all about Texas :^D

CA is a shithole everyone deludes themselves about. It's the same distortion field Apple has. Maybe it's the water. Oh, that's right. You guys don't have water. Maybe it's a symptom of dehydration :^D

Honest guess about Texas.

You are incorrect about CA. CA is a mix of the best and the worst. High taxes. High crime. Terrible politicians. Some of it very dirty. Weirdos everywhere. Thugs everywhere. Pretentious wannabes everywhere. 90% of it is crap, true. You need money to enjoy it. Etc....

Also has some of the best outdoor spaces (even if they are crowded sometimes). Amazing weather. The ocean. You can buy anything there. You can get any type of food. You can experience almost any culture. The houses are pretty cool (except in places like San Bernardino) Busy airport hub means cheap flights to anywhere. The smog is mostly gone now.

I don't live in CA but I would consider it. Any unbiased person will admit it's a mixed bag. It's not all bad.

Again, you obviously know nothing about NYC. You're just looking at numbers. $34k a month is like $3,400 a month in most places. Go to NY with $34k a month and see how much it buys you, you will be let down. It's an entirely different universe there. $1000 a month for a parking space. $40 bucks for a cheap lunch. $10k a month for a 2 bedroom apartment.

I think you need to pluck some different numbers out of your backside. It doesn't cost ten times as much to live in NYC as opposed to the rest of the nation. A Big Mac isn't going to cost $20. A Ford sedan isn't going to cost $200k.

Back on topic, the children of privilege tend to do well. I'm sure Mrs. Clinton is a dandy reporter, and I'm also sure $600k isn't a starting salary in the industry.

Harrison Ford is a pilot, and often flies into small towns around the country, and visits cafe's/restaurants and talks to people, sometimes even telling them who he is. The man really is a nice guy. Frankly, I doubt anyone in east LA. would even know who he was. Of coarse he's white, so at least he has that going for him,---- or not, lol.
Would also like to point out that the Clinton's have the best body guards that your tax dollars can buy.

From reality: http://www.nytimes.com/pages/realestate/

Find an apartment in a nice part of Manhattan. Price one. Your jaw will drop.

Remember, you're a person who makes $600k a year, you're not longer living in "survival mode," like most people on ATOT. You have to live, dress, and act the part. You can't make $600k a year and live in a 2 bedroom in Queens and drive a Civic.

That's not Manhattan, it's an entirely different world from Manhattan. Especially in 2014. What year did you live there?

NYC has always been expensive, but as of today, it's more expensive than it's ever been due to international money flooding the real estate market and Wall St's big bonus resurgence.

Odd to me that some network thought she was worth $600,000/year as a reporter yet I had no idea she was even a reporter. Not much of a draw, apparently.

Last I'd heard she was off lawyering somewhere.

Sounds like it may have been some sort of agreement so that they didn't have to fire her when they couldn't justify that kind of salary.
