lol, didn't see his latest video (2 weeks ago). I noticed he posted it under "Comedy" hahaha.

Poor cheez :cryingcat:. Hopefully he's doing alright. Man I couldn't imagine living in a tent since the end of June, and going to work everyday and stuff. And it's starting to get near freezing at night (I think last night it was below 32 a bit). Looks like it's 44 deg F around there now; I know he's a bit south of me, but not that far, just 4 hours. Ugh

I can confirm a tent in below zero sucks. I've experienced that in July LOL. That was weird. It was summer weather during the day, but it dropped to below zero for one night. The lake looked awesome around 3am though when I went out to pee. Some kind of fog/ice crystal stuff going on with the sunsize reflecting through it.

I still say he needs to at very least find a cheap piece of land in a more private place and build something half decently insulated. Need upfront money though which it sounds like he does not have.
He says he's in Indianapolis living "in the wilderness", "near downtown" in a park with other homeless people. He claims he can't afford monthly rent on an apartment. Hows he supposed to buy a piece of land there?

And
his money was wasted .
see several examples in this thread.

And
He's mentally ill - if what he claims is true, demons etc.
He won't accept help from family.
He won't accept sound advise from this thread.

I'm not exactly sure how any of us or Mods are supposed to help. Tell whatever authorities in Indy there's a guy named Cheez living in a park in a tent. That really narrows it down.
It'd be nice if we could somehow help. Just not sure how to sitting here in PA.

And
this could still be a prank.

The above aren't mutually exclusive. It could be a prank by someone mentally ill.

I don't know if the mods have any way of doing it, but a wellness check on him might be in order. This cold spell has even Phoenix area almost into the 30s at night, and I know its a lot colder elsewhere. I don't remember where he's at, but I know it was farther north and in an area where they're likely to get some significant cold. If he didn't keep up on the weather he might not have properly prepared for such cold.
I remember him posting that he was in an area that didn't get cold. I believe it may have been Michigan and I though then that he was horribly wrong about it getting cold there.

Nah, IIRC, he's somewhere around Indianapolis.

Does it get cold in Indianapolis??

Colder than Miami, but not as cold as Duluth. On the bright side Indianapolis is almost completely free of grizzly bears and marauding wolf packs. If you can outmuscle raccoons for the best garbage can pickings there's a chance of survival.

cheez is in Indianapolis? Yikes.

The “wilderness” he is likely referring to (assuming he isn’t making this all up) is a small wooded area downtown, next to the river and not far from the stadium. You can see tarps, etc. there.

A quick search lead to a map of homeless in Indy & it showed several parks. I asked but he didn't answer to which park he was in.

5 day outlook shows highs in the low to mid 40's F & lows in the low 30's F. Stay warm Cheez

It can get very cold here - like the rest of the Midwest, the weather in Indy is often unpredictable and turns on a dime. Major snowstorms aren’t common but aren’t completely unknown either - it has been a few years since we’ve gotten 6”+ plus in a single storm but 3-4” isn’t uncommon.

I haven’t watched his video or read the entire thread, but I assumed when someone said “downtown Indy” that he was likely in the big homeless camp by the river since that’s the most well known. It’s wooded and fairly secluded but you can easily see it if you take the road on the other side of the river.

You can also get cheap housing in Indy, so I’m skeptical of his posts and the financial details. None of it adds up.

The snow is snowing and the wind is blowing
But I can weather the storm!
What do I care how much it may storm?
For I've got raccoons to keep me warm

I have decent memory and I am vindictive. That is why my avatar is an alternator with a fedora. Fedora was to mock BrokenVisage (he was whining about people wearing fedora) even though he hasn't logged in since Jan 2019 :colbert:
