Cheesecake > *

Cheesecake is the old dessert standby that is always ok. I rarely get cheesecake for dessert unless there really isn't anything else that looks exceptional on the menu. Hell, usually I'll skip dessert if nothing sounds better than cheescake.

Off the top of my head, I'd take a fresh piece of baklava from my old grocery store in Astoria over any cheescake, even Junior's. Or a slice of black-bottom banana creme pie from Hudson House. Or a banana tower from Blue Water Grill.
 
Many things are better than cheese cake... like Ice cream or something... I like cheese cake don't get me wrong it is a great back up but it isn't the best.
 
It depends. Are we talking straight cheesecake? Strawberry cheesecake? That can make a difference depending on one's mood. Sometimes apple pie is great...especially when it's nice and warm. Dang, sometimes even Oreos can be better than cheesecake(depending on how much cheesecake you've consumed recently). And don't forget....Hot Fudge Cake. 🙂
