I just finished putting together my computer and I"m getting a checksum error when I boot up. I have the DVD-ROM and CD-RW hooked up to the same IDE cable and connected to IDE 1. I hooked up my hd, Deskstar, to the orange RAID connector, I forget which one. The DVD-ROm and CD-RW are detected but not the HD, and I get the checksum error during POST. What can I do?

THanks,

clear the cmos either using the jumpers or by taking the mobo battery out for 30 minutes.

agree, try clearing the cmos first. if that doesn't work, then flash the bios with the newest version. usually, a checksum error means the bios file has been corrupted somehow.
