Checking Spread of Thermal Paste

My current PC build project includes a Thermalright XP-90 HS. Since this HS "swings" into place (unlike other HSFs I've used), I was skeptical of its ability to evenly squish a dot of thermal paste (AS 5). So after I attached the XP-90 for the first time, I took it back off to check the spread of the paste. Looked great, actually. I then put the HS right back on. It was off maybe 20 seconds.

Anybody think it's a problem that I took the HS off and put it right back on? Since it's new thermal paste, I don't have to reapply, do I? I have not fired up this machine yet.
