Checking into Hotels

I'm going to Rockfest 2007 at Liberty Memorial on June 9th. I was wondering, do I have to be 21 to check into a hotel anywhere? My friends and I went to the same concert in 2005 after we graduated high school and we were only 18. I'm not sure if my friend had his parents check him into a hotel or not. We just went to the hotel, checked in, and then slept with no problems.

I think different hotels have different policies.

i was traveling for work before i was 21 and i could check into hotels
cars are different, some rentals didn't let me until 21, and anyone under 25 get charged underage fee, age discrimination that is! :|

but then the company pays for it so i couldn't care less

With hotels it's normally 18. Car rental ages are higher for insurance reasons.
