rotflol... from what I've seen the geek squad couldn't cut it... also, make sure you add that program that yells "HEY EVERYBODY - I'M LOOKING AT P***O OVER HERE!". And change the desktop IE shortcut to point to this. 😛Originally posted by: intogamer

My bro used to work at BB and said that to be in Geek Squad you have to take a test. I'd love to take that test just to see how retardedly easy it is. 😀
I shouldn't knock BB, though. Afterall, they did save me from retail hell! About 4 or 5 years ago I applied for a job in their computer department and they said I didn't have enough sales experience. So I just went out and got a job as a sys admin making far more with better hours and less hassle. Funny thing was I probably knew more than any employee there and I have excellent people skills. But I wasn't worth it since I apparently didn't have enough experience trying to sell someone a $30 USB cable for their new printer!

I took the test, very easy. They offered me a job on the spot. Oh well, I just laugh about it now.

can you go in and apply to work directly in the geek squad or is it a promotion type thing from their service desk?

Oddly enough, I failed the personality profiling test 3 times when I was applying at Best Buy. They said they couldn't even look at my app without me scoring "green" on both sections and that the computer would automatically delete it. I even had my gf watching me the 3rd time I took it and we agreed on all the answers.
I had the same experience, though: 2 weeks later I got a much better job in tech support for a small company. I too was saved from retail hell.

I hope I get the coupon.
I have a P166 compaq desktop. I'll load Win95, IE5.5 AOL Version, hook it straight to the cable modem without the firewall, and get all the spyware and adware I can find. Ohh yeah, to make it more fun, bring down the ram to one chip, and take out the cd-rom drive. That should be amuzing....
