We keep getting this error.

You could try Resetting Windows Store
Put Wsreset.exe in the Run dialog box

Doesn't work. It appears but nothing happens.

I came across this approach.
1: go to settings/ accounts/ look for sign-in options/add accounts/sign in with your Microsoft account

Odd question, but is it on a corporate network? Our Proxy .pac file at work doesn't allow traffic to the Store - giving this error.
