For those who missed the deal from target...
Checked your goldbox. It might (YLMV) have the Koss DVP2161 DVD Player for $99.99 - $15 GoldBox discount - $5 off $35 coupon = $79.99 shipped free

This one is the silver-colored player.
Target had them on clearance for $79?/89? for the pink/blue ones (some people claimed they got it for $49:))

Koss DVP2161 DVD Player
is this it?
link

if so, here are the specs:

This small DVD/VCD/MP3 player has pro features you wouldn't expect from such a small player such as SMPTE digital audio out and componant(Cr/Cb/Y) video out connectors in addition to the standard composite, S-video, and RCA stereo outs.

It has A-B repeat, Track repeat, and disc repeat modes with minimal hangtime, and plays CD-r, CD-rw and DVD-r with no problems. 4x zoom, multiple fast forward and slow-mo settings. Very compact (6.5in x 8.25in x 1.5in) and inexpensive ($89.95 clearance at Amazon.com). Sturdy metal construction (lid is plastic) and NO BUILT-IN LCD SCREEN.

It comes with an enormous wall plug, but can use an optional 12v DC power source. This unit has a known problem with over-heating on some commercial DVDs (probably double-sided "DVD-9" discs) which results in occasional skips, but played my home burned DVD-Rs flawlessly for hours.

Like most portable DVD/VCD players it relies on the remote for almost all special functions and has an on-screen display that cannot be turned off. Region 1 only (America and Canada) and Macrovision enabled.

For this price it can't be beat if you're using DVD-r or VCDs.

Thanx for the link....Ok so its NOT really a portable. Its basically a player with a smaller footprint.
If it had a LCD screen this would be HUGE. Thanx JT for the link.
