Update:
When the ghost chick appeared I literally shivered.
Two shivers and the game was over.
Man, I can't wait for this beast to hit the shelves. HL2 didn't do it half as well as this beast.

The demo download : 662MB

I played the demo for awhile and it was awesome.
The new twist is a slow-motion mode ala the Matrix.
It was a bit gaggy on my rig because I was running a bunch of stuff in the background. When I'm not so tired I'm going to give it a good run.

The website/support for the game absolutely sucks. Had I not seen the excellent review in PCGamer, I would never have touched it.
They've tied up my 50 bucks at this point.

The suckiest game launch support site I've ever seen.

Demo ran fine at high settings on my rig. with 1gb it ran like crap. 2gb, it ran like buttar

not well, it's a poorly optimized game that while is interesting and albiet fun, its such a system hog, bogg down any system. The game needs some serious optimization fast, nothing in that game should cause a high end system with a 7800GTX to be brought to it's knees.

The recommended setup for it is 3.0 p4, 1gb, 9800pro or 6600.
My 3200 Newcastle, 1gb, 9800pro ran it nicely once it got ahold of itself.
If I wasn't running the blue frog I'm sure it'd scream.

I think the demo released 8/2.
I just cracked my pcgamer and saw it garnered a 92 rating. It made it worthwhile to check it out.
Once I played it, I figured folks here would really appreciate it.

if i want to turn on soft shadows, i need to drop it down to 1024x786

I ran it up to 1280 and maxed it out.
The lighting was absolutely fvcking awesome.
