Check these sideshow freaks out! P3's over 2GHz? Athy's over 1.4 ghz?

Can you be a little more specific. I'm at work and in a isle cube so anyone who walks past sees what's on my screen.

Thorin, wishful thinking? 😛 It shows some dudes runnin' over 2ghz P3's & 1.4 athy crazyness!! 😛

That was just the first example that came to my head. There are plenty of Web content things that could create problems for some job sites.

funny how they didnt test anything other than a few tests...happens to be the tests i tested that they didnt...hmmmm

There is NO way a P3 is running at 2Ghz.... thats WAY beyond the limit of the core.... and in the .000000000000000000000000000000001% chance its right, then that core is gonna be dead within 2 days.

As for Athlon over 1.4.... check H-Odas page.... he has some screen shots of 1700 Athlons (Wont last very long either). I think there are a few P3s around 1.3-1.4.

I checked it out and it's probably a P4 doing 2ghz because there is no option for a P4, only a PIII. I bet he put it as a PIII because that was closest. 1.4 ghz T'bird isn't anything way out there. When the new kryotech cases some out they are suppposed to keep a T'bird stable at all of 1.6 ghz.

"So back on topic, how might one propel a P3 to 2100 mhz+?"

Couldn't you encase the CPU in a bubble of some non-volatile gas, then use a spread focus laser operating on the opposite (inverse) frequency to what the molecules vibrate at, to cool a CPU (etc) to almost |0| absolute zero (-273C or whatever it is)?
