Check Overclock?

What is a good program to use to check if your overclock is working properly. I used to use 3DMark2001 SE (one specific test, the horse one) but that program stopped working on my computer for some reason. What do you guys use now?

All of the tests? That takes a little long.

Actually I would recommend looping it a few times. The first time around won't always show artifacts. Or you could try running the demo a few times if you find the tests to be boring.

3dmark03, as much flak as it is taking, has been my most recent choice. the most sensitive test(visually) to artifacts in my experience has been the scene where the chick enters the library above the ogre hideout. an unstable overclock will show a degraded backdrop (white specs over the blackness). therefore, it is not necessary to run the whole benchmark.

so, this will tell you at what speed artifacts become visually obvious, but it doesn't mean that the card will crash during games, so sacrificing visual quality for speed might be an option.

good luck

you didnt say too high...you simply said properly. I assumed you ment what speed it was running at
