I think it's some sort of a "joke" Christmas. Notice the branch of a bush outside being used as a tree.

maybe they couldnt afford a tree? or tools to chop down a tree?

but yeah it could also be a joke.

i guess seeing that barista buying childrens books at the dollar store for his kids xmas present because he couldnt afford better made me a little defensive about making fun of the poor trying to do their best for their kids at xmas.

The guy has kind of a Dexter vibe going...

Oh, and has anyone pointed out that the candle is something of a fire hazard yet?

Pic is obviously old, and there's something with a floppy disk. Back then computers were very expensive so I don't see how they could possibly be poor.

maybe their family cant afford much?

while walking past a dollar store, i saw one of the baristas of my closest starbucks in there. i stopped in to say hi.
he explained that he couldnt afford much this year, and was buying childrens story books for his kids.

I'm an old corny softy, but I carry around a couple of $50 Toys r Us gift cards for situations like that.

Seriously. I've done it for 3 years now and give them to two people that seem to need it. It makes me feel good 🙂

Looks like they are in a hospital or some sort of care facility. Notice the medical equipment in the background.

I can haz sister, all trussed up...I mean all gift-wrapped and under my tree?

As old as that picture appears to be, she's surely of age by now...😛

Government thinks they can spend that $100 better than you. Just sayin.

You guys are just jealous because you didn't get any floppies for Christmas.

BTW, that candle is too damn close to that drape.
