I think someone over @ MSoft has been sniffing some burnt silicon or something. I finally got every single thing working absolutely perfectly on my personal rig, so I decided to mess around with the W98 setup logo in MSPaint, and this is what I get:

(Sorry, it's too late for me to think hard enough to remember how to put good links in this forum...:( )

It's freaking german! I've installed win2k a hundred times by now, and never had it do this to me, I think it must have been a incorrect language in one of the windows update downloads. I didn't install any of the language packs or programs, and everything else is in english (for now....(author is praying, crossing fingers, knocking on wood))
Hmm....since MSoft probably figured out their biff by now (I'm assuming...), I am the proud possessor of a limited edition unique version of a OS going into extinction (what? you ask.... Look up how they are killing support and ability to buy anything but XP). Man, I better get this up on Egay, I'm sure someone will want it.... Oh wait, shoot, I have like a grand and a half invested in this system and all the dot com stocks blew up and the economy sucks....who's going to want to spend money now? Does anyone have Billy's phone number??? he's got to still have some dough, esp. with XP's "record sales".....right.....

actually, I need to update that....I think I was only running it @ around 1700 for the day I posted the system, it was too unstable in UT and CS, and I haven't modded my case properly to keep it up there without o/hing alot of stuff and blowing it.

Any bids for you collectors out there?

running a XP 1600+ (1.4Ghz) now @ a cool 1502Mhz through frontside bus only. Is there a good OC thread here or anything? I used to have a TB1.4, but the XP looked like it was getting better speed results in Anand's tests...

microsoft has resource files for over 30 different languages, japanese, german, and english are the main languages for all products its likely that one of the resource files got loaded by mistake, it is a bug, but not un heard of.
