OK, so - Here's what I got her.
I'm starting to notice a trend with my gifts. This is what I got her for her birthday. They both go along with the one of these (slightly different specs) that I got her a while back.

I think she'll like it. You think it's a good christmas present?

It's all hers. she takes pictures, scans them, and now she wants to be able to watch DVD's on her laptop.

OK, I'm going to explain this whole DVD drivbe tihng a bit better. She moved into a new place a few months back. She rents a roiom in a house, and she doesn't have a TV. I bring her TV shows recorded as DIVX on CD sometimes, and she (or we) watches them on the laptop. She has a few movies on DVD that she's had since before she moved, and she's complained a couple times about not being able to watch her movies on her laptop, like we do with the TV shows.

Because "normal" women like girly stuff like purfume and jewlery... yours likes computer hardware and I envy you soo much you can actually buy a present for her that you know about, you dont have to go blindly store to store just to find something you hope she likes and you hardly know what is.
