check out this wedding in Shanxi, China

Yep, I've seen a chain mail on that going around. Its not that much, Bill Gates or any other billionaire/multi-millionaire could do the same. They just chose not to.

From COAL!? My gosh, that is insane if they do indeed own all those cars. It did say a lambo was given as a dowry.

Thats how the people at the top live .... wow

The wealth distribution in China is awful. Some people in the cities are making about 7000 RMB a month while others can spend that much for a single meal on a daily bases. Not saying that this doesn't happen in the U.S., but you hear about these stories far more in China than here.

Dear Chairman Mao must be rolling in his grave

You don't seriously buy that he was thinking of the people do you? That guy was a class 1 asshole. In the same league as Stalin, Hitler and Chiang Kai Shek

Asian go love to show wealth, and this is one good example.

Coal price have been very good in the last couple of years as shown Here, and IMHO will continue to go up due to greater global energy demand.

In this income disparity graph, USA and China are exactly the same colour.

I think one thing that doesn't properly show is China's living expenses. Income may have the same disparity, but the cost of living is at a much higher income level in the US.

So the rich can probably live crazier lives in China without burning through their cash as fast.

Yeah you never see extreme, disgusting extravagance shown by the rich in the USA, right?
