Check out this pretty badass single-shot fight scene...

i gotta say, that's pretty awesome! i really like how the camera moves throughout the entire scene. it has a great, smooth, cinematic feel to it.

This scene is from the Tony Jaa movie "The Protector." The whole movie is completely absurd; it's about a guy whose elephant gets stolen and he goes on an intercontinental ass-kicking journey to get her back. But Tony Jaa is pretty exciting to watch; does all his own stunts and whatnot.

Just reading the thread title, I had guessed that this was going to be the clip.

Ahh, I thought it looked like the guy from Ong Bak. Haven't seen this one though. But I think I'll pass.

Tony Jaa is awesome. I'd love to see him in some bigger budget movies I think he could really do some special things.

This is the video I always think of when I hear his name:

That's the protector as well.

You've several great fight scenes (the OP, the bone breaking one, this one) but I think my favorite Tony Jaa moment is when he's intimidating a guy on the street (to tell him where his elephants are), the guy is some low level thug and pulls a knife, so Tony Jaa jumps up and kicks out the streetlight above them. The thug takes the hint and gives up what he knows.

doesn't work for me.

also, first comment says this is orders of magnitude better than Children of Men.

Being this is some cheap, derivative, crappy Asian fight flick from what I can tell, I know that the poster is an idiot. Therefore, the video is obviously not worth my time, anyway.

I don't know man, if you want handfighting it's hard to beat a Tony Jaa movie. If you want stuff because it's a cool artistic continuous shot, yeah, you might want to look elsewhere.

exactly my point. The fool should not be comparing the two, because it's an idiot's game.

Oh snap, this is from Tom Yum Goong. I LOVE THIS MOVIE. Tony Jaa is the coolest thing since Jet Li.

Somehow, you got off on the wrong foot here. It was released in the US as The Protector. Look it up, it's actually very entertaining.

Also, the Children of Men continuous shot scene wasn't really a fight scene. It was a running away from fights scene. 😛

Is it stupid good? and not stupid stupid?

I might give it a shot if it's intentionally stupid, and doesn't suck at being intentionally stupid.
